The “Ruth House” first opened in 2007. This program was designed for low income families, in transition.   

Some of the services offered are: case management, life skills training, employment readiness, drug and alcohol counseling referral, parenting classes, and home ownership.

Ruth House has been fully occupied since 2000, resulting in a financially stable program.

Goal: The goal of the Ruth House is to provide a place of holistic healing for families. The services and programs offered reflect the needs of low-income parents and address the  day-to-day concerns; i.e., limited support to overcome and the desire to be self-sufficient.

Impact: The impact of the Ruth House will be to reduce homelessness and improve the overall functioning of the participants, inclusive of self-sufficiency, employment and stability.

Units feature 1 bath, wall to wall carpet, living room, dining area, kitchen, large side yard, central air, laundry hookup within unit and small storage space.
Location:  North Braddock, Pa
Rental amount:  $786 (Allegheny County Section 8 approved and welcomed)
*No smoking building (smoking area in rear of the property)
*No pets
